Every parent is concerned about choosing the correct time to start their child in a professional driver training programme. While there is no “right time”, you can have your child enrolled in some type of professional training from when they first get their learners license to help get them on the right track or if you can instruct yourself then after you think they are going well you can get some lessons to be sure everything is going the right direction and also it advised to do a couple of lessons to prepare for their driving test. ALL STAR DRIVING INSTRUCTORS know what is required to pass a driving license test.
As a parent, you may not be fully aware of all of the rules around the L-plate and logbook system, but professional driving instructors know exactly what needs to be done in order to follow all of the regulations and complete your logbook time correctly, either as a hard copy book or online.
In total, 100 hours must be logged in the logbook and 10 of those hours must be night time driving. The logbook can be completed sooner when your son or daughter is enrolled in professional driver training because an hour of driving with an accredited driving school is equal to 3 hours of log book time so there are real benefits with using a professional driving instructor. You must be at least 17 in order to submit your logo book and sign the declarations.
We understand that some parents are too busy to take their son or daughter out for practice driving sessions and the option of having a professional teach your son or daughter to drive is a good one, and the result will be that your child be very well prepared to take the road test for their provisional P1 driver licence once they have completed the hours required in their logbook.
